About Me

I’m Jason Goodworth, a Developer from England.

Overview

I’ve been a “Full-Stack” developer for my whole career and know enough HTML, CSS, and Javascript to be dangerous, though most of my time is spent working on the back-end. These days that means a mix of Java, Kotlin, and Groovy, or hooking together various parts of our infrastructure and deployment pipeline with Python.

Back in 2011 I joined a company called CentraStage and since then I’ve been helping take their platform from a two instance self-hosted setup, to a scalable SaaS offering hosted in AWS and now called Datto RMM.

Alternatively, I’m the person people moan at first when things go wrong.

Projects

Disappointingly I only have one live project at the moment, and that is…

  • The Tracker - A system for tracking membership, events, and rider training, used by the London, Kent, and East London Advanced Motorcyclist Groups. Created back in 2010 using Django and PostgreSQL, it’s currently hosted on Digital Ocean and uses Mailgun for email sending and GoCardless to allow members to pay their subscriptions using Direct Debit.
